I was born in Southern California in 1960 and grew up in Pasadena, California. I was raised in the Presbyterian church and sang in the choir but never truly understood the gospel message or what it meant to be a Christian. In my early teen years I pulled away from God and my parents belief system and began living my life apart from God. In my high school years I began to live an immoral life, but still strived to be a “good” person and student. I started college in 1978 where my distance from God was magnified, but I had a goal and a purpose to become a physical therapist so that I could help people. At the same time I held onto my passion for music and it was through this venue that I ultimately came to Christ.
In 1983 God showed me that my selfish immoral lifestyle was leading me down a path leading to death and destruction and that I needed to turn around. The Lord brought me to this place through the love and prayers of many believers. I was very immersed in music and loved classical as well as rock music. When I heard some of the Christian music artists of the day I was amazed at the talent and thought “There must be something to this ‘Jesus thing’”.
In 1983 I became a born again believer ,at the age of 23, at a Christian rock concert where Jesus immediately turned my life around and I have not looked back. As the song goes, “I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back”!
I completed my degree in physical therapy in 1984, met and married my husband in 1985 moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1993 and then moved to Pahrump in 2011.
I currently enjoy leading worship here at CCPV and work as a physical therapist at the local hospital. I have been married to my wonderful husband Zeke for 38 years and we have a lovely daughter. My husband and I have had the opportunity to travel to several foreign countries over the years on short term mission trips and have been involved in homeless outreaches.
Living for Jesus is so amazing!
My passion is to worship God and draw others to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through music and the word of God.
God has so radically changed my life and He can change your life too!
As in the words of an old hymn,
“Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, calling Oh sinner, come home!”
