I was born in a tiny town called Eureka, Ut in 1941. I had a Mormon dad and Catholic mom and was one of six children. My childhood was pretty normal but I did have my share of trouble making. From 1954-1960 we lived in Cedar City, Ut where I graduated high school. I worked with my dad in his sand mine and around 1965 I joined the Mormon church. In 1980 I moved to Las Vegas, NV where I landed a job in construction working for Las Vegas paving for 23 years retiring in December of 2003.
It was in Las Vegas that I met Camille, my lovely wife of 39 years and are blessed with 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In 1984 while we were attending a worship service at Dove Ministries I had an encounter with Jesus where I accepted him as my Lord and Savior. I was baptized later at the local YMCA swimming pool and Jesus began to transform my life.
Around 2005 Calvary Chapel Las Vegas announced they were planning on taking a group to Israel and had spots available. Visiting Israel was something that was on my heart ever since becoming a Christian. Little did I know, on this trip visiting places where Jesus walked like Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea and being baptized again in the Jordan River was going to bring me into a deeper relationship with him.
After deciding that we no longer wanted to fight the traffic and overall hectic environment of Las Vegas, we contemplated of places to relocate. One of our daughters lived in Pahrump, NV and we made up our minds we NEVER wanted to move there. As we all know God has his ways of accomplishing his purpose so in 2007 we found ourselves moving to Pahrump, NV and can honestly say WE LOVE IT HERE. I have never been happier and more at peace serving at Calvary Chapel Pahrump Valley under Pastor John Gundacker.
