Greetings Church Family: 

 

   I would like to begin by saying how grateful I am to God to serve alongside such a wonderful group of men and women at our church. Your example of service speaks volumes to me as well as others. To observe how your service not only edifies the church but leaves a lasting impression upon those who visit for the first time. God is so good all the time. Here are some announcements and updates for the month of September.

 

Forgiving Forward Is a ministry that takes the Gospel and teaches believers the "how to" and the importance of forgiving others in order to be set free from harboring unforgiveness toward others and experiencing personal healing from God. On Saturday September 20th Bruce Hebel the author of the book Forgiving Forward will be having a class inside the fellowship cafe' from 9am-4pm and will be our featured speaker on Sunday the 21st. St. George Men's Conference For anyone interested in attending the St. George Men's Conference it will be held September 19-20 at CCSG.  Guest speakers will include Al Pittman and John Randall.  Please register online at www.calvarysg.com

 

Pahrump Fall Festival We are fortunate to have been able to reserve 2 spots for the church and radio ministries at the Pahrump Fall Festival.  We are in need of volunteers to staff the booths during the entire festival.  We are required to keep the booths open for specific hours.  Please see Sandi Gonzalez or visit the ministry table after service to sign up.

 

Food for Fellowship It is always a blessing to see how food brings people together for fellowship and having the opportunity every week to sit and "break bread" with each other is amazing.  There are opportunities available and needed for those who have the gift of hospitality to prepare a meal, either in part or whole.  Please see Lillian Knapp for more information or to get signed up.

 

Sunday Worship Set For those of you who are interested, our Sunday morning worship set will be broadcast throughout the day on Saturdays on KCPV Faith Fm Radio online at KCPV95.9FM.  This will allow you to familiarize yourself with the songs.

 

New Believer's Class For anyone new to the faith, or just getting recommitted this is for you.  This will be a 2 hour class to familiarize you with the basic tenets of the believer.  September 15th @ 6:00pm.  For more information contact Kirk Ceriotti.

 

M-pact Kids Club Meets on Wednesday evenings @6:30pm. The girls are Missionettes and the boys are Royal Rangers. We are still looking for more able bodied men/fathers to step up and assist us in ministering to the boys. Please ask to speak with Kayli Schumacher, or Terry Bivins for more information.

 

Young Adults ages 20 to mid 30's meet on Friday evening's September 5th, & 19th, @ 6pm inside the Church Discipleship House located @ 1081 Mickey St. adjacent to the Chapel property for a Potluck Dinner, Worship, Bible Study, and fellowship with fun games. Ask to speak with Ruben & Emily Valerio for more information.

 

Bible imprinting Ministry Is always looking for volunteers to assist in imprinting names and attaching stickers to the Bibles we distribute to the people throughout our community. Please see Kirk or Terry Cerotti for more info on how you can help us distribute Bibles to the people of our community.

 

The Youth Group meets every Sunday during the 9:45 & 11:30am Service's inside the Children's Ministry Building for Bible Study, Worship. Ask to speak with Luke and Jade Lansciardi for more information.

 

Spanish Church Service Meets on Friday's evenings @6:30pm inside the main sanctuary. Our hope and prayer is for this Bible study to transition into a Spanish speaking Sunday morning Church service. Please keep this endeavor in prayer and help us get the word out to all our Spanish speaking members in our church family as well as all those who call our community home. for more info ask to speak with Pastor Anibal Guzman. 

 

The Garden Ministry Meets @ the Church Garden on Wednesday September 10th & 24th from 6:30pm - 8pm for education on planting and growing fresh fruits and vegetables, proper maintenance, as well as sharing new ideas, and techniques. Whether you have already adopted a garden bed or would like to do so, or start one of your own at home. For more information please ask to speak with Yesenia Sanchez.

 

Homeless Ministry Meets in the church parking lot Every Saturday morning @10:00am to pray and go out to serve the homeless in our community, everyone is welcome to join us. We are always in the process of collecting non-perishable food items to distribute to the homeless in our community. If you would like to participate you can pick up a list of the specific items needed at the info desk, and drop them off at the church, ask to speak with Jennifer Reynolds for more info. The C3 Clothing ministry is collecting jackets, sleeping bags, and tents now in preparation for the colder months.

 

Our Home Groups have just launched for the fall session with new teachers, new topics, and new locations. This is a great opportunity to build community, and grow in your knowledge of the Word. If you would like to attend a small group you can stop by the information table and receive all the details concerning Men's, Womens, and Coed Groups. 

 

Our next Men's Breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, September 13th @ 7am inside the main Sanctuary Building. Worship, Testimony, Interactive Bible Study, and Fellowship.  All men are encouraged to bring their sons.For more information please ask to speak with Brian Jacobs.

 

Our next Women's Fellowship is scheduled for Saturday, October 18th @ 10am inside the Main Sanctuary Building. There will be light refreshments, worship, devotional, and Fellowship.  Please ask to speak with Stacey Latislaw for more info. 

 

The Grief Share Ministry Please note that grief share will be on break from September 1st thru the month of December and will resume again on January 13th.

 

We are hosting our next Widows Lunch on Thursday September 25th. Fellowship starts @11:30am Lunch is served @12:00pm. If you would like to assist us in preparing and serving food to these wonderful ladies, please ask to speak with Lillian Knapp for more info.

 

Intercessory Prayer Group Meets every Sunday Morning from 8:00am - 9:10am inside the Children's ministry building to pray for the work of the Holy Spirit to transform people's lives during the sharing of God's Word. If you'd like to participate, ask to speak with Kevin Hale.

 

Parking Lot Please be aware that we have additional parking on the south side of the sanctuary building. In an effort to keep our relationship with our neighbors in good standing and those exiting out onto Pahrump Valley Blvd safely. We would kindly ask you not to park on the shoulder of Pahrump Valley blvd or Mickey street. By doing so we will establish great visibility for those exiting and entering the parking lot as well as those traveling down the road. We appreciate your cooperation in this endeavor.

 

KCPV 95.9FM Is currently up and running on the internet. If you have alexa at home you can ask her to launch faith fm radio. Our App for the i-Phone is now available at the app store for a free download. We just received our engineered site development plans to the Nye County Building Department next week and will pull permits as soon as they approve them. Please continue to pray that the process flows smoothly. 

 

Our Patio Cover is having the drywall installed this week with the hope of having it taped, textured, and painted by Sunday. The HVAC equipment is scheduled to be delivered Thursday and our hope is to have the stucco finished next week. The last thing to do will be having the glass doors and windows installed. Please continue to pray that everything flows smoothly according to plan.

HARVEST PARTY Our Halloween alternative where we share the Gospel with the children of our community October 31st 5-8pm in the parking lot of our sanctuary building.  

 

 

    Well that's all for now. This is Communion Sunday and I am so looking forward to worshiping the Lord together as a church Family.
